Del Mare was built in the early 1800s during the reign of the Ottomans to be used as stable for éléphants.Vers the early 1900s it was rebuilt and converted into a distillery with a fireplace. Del Mare is a stone building with a view of the Bosphorus and a history of 200 years. As for today; Del Mare won the award for best fish restaurant on the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus in 2004.
